Dan Hanosh’s The Moon Also Rises
dreams to come and thoughts of tomorrow

Caught in a Breeze . . .

. . .

Sometimes don’t you feel as though everything in life is out of your control? Today a war burns brightly into our conscious minds and few of us really feel its effect. We depend on a few, we use a few regardless of their wants and needs . . . When are we going to right the pain we cause, when are we going to feel its wrath? Very soon, I’m afraid . . .

Caught in a Breeze

Grains of sand,
sift, through
my fingers,

Falling, for a moment,
tiny particles, adrift,
toward the ground,

Instantly, their
destiny, becomes a thing
of chance,

Caught in a breeze,
some spread their wings,
achieving, new heights,

The rest, slowly,
falling, to be with
the others.
