Dan Hanosh’s The Moon Also Rises
dreams to come and thoughts of tomorrow

A Taste of Freedom

Soaring, through the
clouds, I lost track of
time.

How many get the
chance to soar as an
Eagle?

Commercial travel
does nothing to provoke
thought,

to stimulate the
senses, to live a fuller
life.

The mere idea
of gliding over
pastures,

high above rivers, full of rushing
rapids, houses hiding people, excites me beyond possibility.

From the cockpit, the crowds look like
swarms of insects, preparing for the
winter.

Cars, crawl toward
destinations, nothing seems real,
anymore.

How can it be?

Passing through a
cloud, I dream of another
time,

a time of freedom, while
sailing through the
heavens.

Now, I depend on others to enjoy my
freedom, it comes at a price, not controlled by
me.
